Origin: Southeast Asia.
Botanical name: Strobilanthes dyeriana
Family: Acanthaceae.
Suitable: Indoor / Outdoor (avoid direct sun)
Max spread: 1-2m.
Pet Friendly: Low toxicity
Water: Achieve moist but not soggy soil and avoid letting the soil to dry out completely. Reduce watering in cooler months.
Light: Indirect bright sunlight. Leaves will be damaged in direct sun. The variegation will be more pronounced in brighter light.
Temperature: 16 - 24ºC. Ideal room temperature.
Humidity: Moderate. 40% - 60%. Prefers slightly higher humidity levels. Gently mist leaves once a week with distilled water.
Soil: Good drainage potting mix. 5.5 - 7.5 ph. Neutral.
Fertilizer: Lightly. Once a month in spring & summer.
